I took an AMAZING 3 day PLUS !! class via Zoom led by Amy Hicks of Seriously Sweet on Davis Street and The Cookie Snack Attack.

Amy taught us how to bake the base of this structure using a special sugar cookie dough. We molded the dough over Reynold’s Wrap to achieve the shape for the base of our coral reef.

We used molds and hand sculpting to create innumerable colorful fondant pieces.

And the sea turtle!! Hand sculpted fondant over a sugar cookie base. I used luster dust to add color. The Sea Turtle was attached to the Coral base using Simi Isomalt.

360 degree piece! Do not ask how many hours I worked on this!!

And my husband Dave built the beautiful puzzle which serves as the base for the Under The Sea Sculpture.

Sometimes cookies and photography just come together. These cookies are inspired from an Arty McGoo class. The 3D mushrooms are hand sculpted from sugar cookie dough and just blend into the scene. The 2 fairies are also sugar cookies and 100% edible. The cookies were hand cut and the faces hand sculpted fondant. I used Americolor food gel and Sugar Art Color Solution to paint on white royal icing.

This is Farseer Dragon. She was created as a result of a class I took with the incredible and amazing Sidney Galpern of Simi Cakes Isomalt. She is sculpted fondant over rice krispies. Her horns and spikes are silver Simi Cakes isomalt. Her eyes are isomalt. I scorched the fondant per Sidney Galpern’s instruction to get the look of scales for her skin. She is about 8.5 inches long and this does not include her horns which are 4 inches. The horns are from a Simi Cakes mold. The spikes are pulled and sculpted Simi Cakes isomalt. Special thanks to Becky Norton for her assistance. This was the first time I did some of these techniques! I am now ready for House of The Dragon.

I took an IN PERSON class with Timbo Sullivan. Timbo is a master at sculpting fondant and airbrushing for realism and whimsy.

Beautiful cookie taught by Amy Hicks from Seriously Sweet. I added fondant embellishments to a snow globe cookie and used isomalt and fondant to create a beautiful winter scene!
